There is Hope

“Yet the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger” –Job17:9

It is important that we persevere throughout every trials, hardships and sufferings we go through. For when we die, there will be no other chance to tell people where we have placed our hope when we were alive. But while we are alive and when we persevere and succeed we can have a chance to share to them how the Lord God was able to help us.

Job described how he was exactly feeling during this time his friends have wrongfully accusing him of sin and wrongdoings. He told them how his spirit is crushed and how he is near death and that the grave is just waiting for him, he can only sorrowfully watch as his friends keep on attacking his joy (v.1-2). That’s why all he can do now is asked God to show how he, Job, was able to persevere by trusting God alone (v.3).

He further explains how God had allowed these things to happen to him (v.6). His trials were so great that he had already dried up his eyes crying, his former glory and honor are no-where to be found (v.7). But he also knows that as long as his integrity and character remains it will help him move forward, and that these things that had not killed him will only make him into a stronger person.

As long as we are alive, there will always be a chance to tell other peoples the good news, that there is hope in God. No matter how painful we are suffering right now, how hard is our trials and how heavy is our burden, we can trust God that these things are meant to make us stronger so we can share with them how God were able to carry us through. As long as we are a live, there is hope in God.

Let us continuously seek God, especially on times that we are down and discouraged for God has a unique way of making our weakness our strength and our poorness in richness, if we would allow Him to work through our challenges in life.

Lord! I pray for your loving hand to help me and make me understand these trials I am going through right now, help me to see these challenges as an opportunity to share the hope we can only found in You. Amen.
